Justin Carland
Electrical engineer and educator based in Oahu, Hawaii. I teach math, science, and engineering — and help local businesses put AI to work.
Background
I hold a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. My work sits at the intersection of engineering, education, and technology — I'm driven by making complex ideas accessible and useful.
Currently, I lecture in the Math & Natural Sciences Division at Leeward Community College and teach engineering courses at Kapiolani Community College. Outside the classroom, I run AI Workflow Consulting, a solo practice helping Hawaii businesses implement practical AI tools and automation into their day-to-day operations.
When I'm not teaching or consulting, I'm usually building games, experimenting with new AI workflows, or figuring out a better way to explain a difficult concept.
Three Tracks
Education
Lecturer in mathematics and natural sciences at Leeward CC. Engineering instructor at Kapiolani CC. I focus on making technical material clear, practical, and engaging for students across skill levels.
AI Consulting
Solo founder of AI Workflow Consulting. I help Hawaii businesses identify where AI tools can save time, reduce errors, and create new capabilities — then I build and implement those solutions.
Projects
Game development, automation tools, and engineering experiments. I like building things — from small utilities that solve one problem well, to larger creative projects built for fun.
Contact
If you're a business looking to implement AI tools, a school interested in collaboration, or just want to say hello — I'd love to hear from you.
